Driving School for Teens

Driving Academy of Ohio L.L.C., located in North Canton, Stark County, Ohio, is a full service driving school providing driver's education to teens and a Juvenile Driver Improvement Programs (JDIP) through professional and experienced classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction.  We have trained thousands of students over the years and are ready to help you with your driver's education training.

Our program for beginning teenage drivers consists of 24 hours of classroom and 8 hours of one-on-one behind-the-wheel driving and meets the State of Ohio requirements for drivers education.   Our standard service is of a higher level than elsewhere.  Visit our Teen Driver's Education page for more detailed information about this program.

Efficient in-car lessons

There is no need to wait for months after you have completed your classroom instruction before you can drive with us.  You can start scheduling your driving anytime after completing your first class session and drive soon after. We have more than a dozen qualified and experienced licensed driving instructors for our classroom location to help you get through the program efficiently. Give us a call.  We can help you out. 

Teen Remedial

Our Juvenile Driver Improvement Program is a 6 hour course and meets the court mandated requirement for remedial class of second time juvenile offenders.  Visit the Juvenile Driver Improvement Program section for additional details about this class

Maneuverability Practice

A special service provided exclusively by Driving Academy of Ohio: Our students have free access to our private maneuverability course and cones so that they may practice in their own vehicle in addition to the training that they will receive with our instructors.

Pre-Register online

Using our online pre-registration is an easy way to let us know when you intend on starting classes and allows you to complete most of the registration process prior to starting class.  Simply fill out the online form and submit it to us.  We will print out the paperwork and have it ready when you arrive on your first day of class.  Anyone is of course welcome to call our office to reserve a spot and you can fill out the forms manually on your first night of class.  To register for the JDIP (Juvenile Driver Improvement Program, sometimes referred to as teen remedial or defensive driving course), use the JDIP registration page.

Adult test preparation

New adult driver? Need a refresher before taking your test? We offer private driving and maneuverability lessons to adults where you can pay by the hour. Give us a call to set up an appointment. Each session is typically scheduled for two hours in length.

Pre-register for summer sessions before classes fill up. In a hurry?  Don't want to wait for months to do your in-car lessons?  Give us a call.    Pre-register online or call our office to reserve your spot in class. Gift certificates in a variety of denominations available.

New classes start every Monday.    Enrolling now.     Pre-register online or call to reserve your spot.  We drive 7 days a week.  No additional fees for fuel or for the driving.  We will instruct brand new drivers!  Our students get to use our maneuverability course and cones free of charge to practice on their own in addition to what they learn with our instructors.  We do not cancel our Juvenile Driver Improvement Program classes due to low enrollment.

Driving Academy of Ohio College Scholarships

Each year, Driving Academy of Ohio awards college scholarships to graduating seniors.

To qualify, applicants must be former students of Driving Academy of Ohio L.L.C. and have demonstrated infraction free driving records along with other qualifications to be eligible for the scholarships.

both received the Driving Academy of Ohio college scholarship for 2012 graduating seniors.

Both former students of Driving Academy of Ohio L.L.C. had demonstrated infraction free driving records along with other qualifications to earn their scholarships.  Congratulations to both and best wishes for their futures.

Scholarship application forms are typically made available for download from this site in or around the month of February and are due during the month of April of the student's senior year of high school.
